Exercise 8: I Desire

Each morning and evening of the next two weeks, find 15 minutes to sit quietly. Begin with the intention to reveal to yourself your deepest, core, heart’s desire. Place your left hand over your heart and your right hand, palm up, open in your lap. Breathe deeply, and still your mind. Think of the things in your life that you desire right now. Say out loud:
“I desire (fill in blank).”
Then ask yourself:
“Is there a deeper, more core layer to this desire?”
Breathe deeply into your heart center, and still your mind again. Let your heart speak to you, and listen carefully.
When you hear the answer, say:
“I am now aware of my heart’s desire. My heart’s desire is (fill in blank). All my thoughts, emotions, and actions are aligned with my hearts desire, (name it). With the power of my focused intention aligned with the magnetism of my hearts desire, (name it), each moment and every day I draw to myself exactly the people, energies and resources which help me to realize my dream, my purpose on earth.”
Keep an awareness of your heart’s desire throughout your day. Now and then, as it comes up, say to yourself, “All my thoughts, emotions, and actions are aligned with my heart’s desire, (name it).” Pay close attention to how this affirmation influences your experience. Note when things seem to be flowing. When you feel the flow of life, when you feel you are swimming in love, living your dream, put your hand over your heart and give thanks. Find a quiet time to record the heart’s desire affirmation in your journal, along with your feelings and experiences related to this process.
