Lesson 71

"Only God's plan for salvation will work."

In this lesson we see the illusions the ego transmits by not allowing us to access our inner salvation. Ego gives us grief, against others, against ourselves and ultimately against God. God wants us to succeed in our salvation. Ego can only get in our way. The ego tricks us into believing that we are dependent upon outside sources for salvation, which could not be further from the truth. With God and the experience of truth our unity with divinity becomes the only real, reliable source for being saved from the quagmire of lies created by the ego that only obstructs our vision and God's will. In order to get closer to God we must ask specifically:

"What would you have me do?"
"Where would you have me go?"
"What would you have me say, and to whom?"

Now listen closely with your whole soul. He will answer if you let him. Do not allow yourself to harbor any grief today. If any grievances should arise you can hold them at bay with this:

"Holding grievances is the opposite of God's plan for salvation. And only his plan will work."

Six or seven times an hour repeat these words of wisdom aloud or silently. It will connect you to source, your higher power.

Lesson 72

"Holding grievances is an attack on God's plan for salvation."

The ego wishes to take the place of God. It wants us to believe we are nothing but the body, and our brothers and sisters are only a body. It does not recognize the eternal soul. The ego wills us to use our grievances as a wall against God. He cannot break it down by himself but we can smash it with the sledgehammer of truth. God wants us to win our salvation. When we allow the light of God to shine through the clouds of illusion and fear generated by the power hungry ego, we are already well on our way to success in salvation. The ego would have you believe it is a friend but it is our most vile enemy. Grief generated by the ego has all but drowned out the still quiet internal voice of God. Only when we can recognize our eternal soul as a separate sacred entity housed temporarily in this human body, forsaking the troublesome ego, do we set in motion the wheels of salvation. We can ask God personally:

"What is salvation, Father?
I do not know. Tell me that I may understand."

Ask and you will be answered. One or two short practice periods an hour should suffice, they will be longer than usual. In silence, eyes closed, begin with:

"Holding grievances is an attack on God's plan for salvation.
Let me accept it instead.
What is salvation, Father?"

Be prepared to hear your answer.

Lesson 73

"I will there be light."

Our picture of the world is a mirror of our inner landscape.

"I will there be light."
"Let me behold the light.
That reflects God's Will and mine."

Let the power of God and your higher self take over your practice sessions. Your declaration:

"I will there be light.
Darkness is not my will."

Several times an hour, repeating these words to yourself will dispel the darkness of your personal grievances.

Lesson 74

"There is no will but God's."

Peace replaces the conflicting goals the ego has temporarily blinded us with, when we allow ourselves to surrender fully to our higher power. Beyond the veil of illusion, there is only tranquility. There can be no inner conflict once the ego has been held at bay. Hold these thoughts in mind in your practice period:

"There is no will but God's.
I cannot be in conflict."

Some similar thoughts to add to your practice today:

"I am at peace
Nothing can disturb me. My will is God's.
My will and God's are one.
God wills peace for me, his child."

Should any conflicting thoughts arise during your practice or your day these words will be helpful:

"There is no will but God's.
These conflict thoughts are meaningless."

If there is a special situation requiring more energy to resolve, think of the parties involved clearly and fill yourself with these thoughts about it:

"There is no will but God's.

I share it with him. My conflicts about                                                  must be false."

Imagine the deepest peace you know once you have cleared your mind of these thoughts. You will feel joyful and alert. That is how you will know you are doing this exercise correctly. Do this as often as necessary to avoid emotional withdrawal. In your shorter meditation periods, at regular pre-arranged intervals you will meditate on:

"There is no will but God's. I seek his peace today."

At half hour intervals with your eyes closed meditate on these truths.

Lesson 75

"The light has come."

Today you are born again in the light of God. Through your work with forgiveness you have gained vision. The future is bright and shiny, free from the conflicting thoughts the ego held captive previously. The shadows have been brought into the light. The longer practice periods are devoted to feeling the freedom of forgiveness. Our total acceptance of all that is, free from ego judgment and former delusions is what liberates us. No longer do we allow ourselves the darkness of the ego's suffering. Start the longer practice period with this new freedom:

"The light has come.
I have forgiven the world."

Let go of your past today. Let your whole idea of your world come to you now. In your waiting, repeat:

"The light has come.
I have forgiven the world."

Understand that your release allows you a new vision. You have joined your understanding with God and your trust will bring the promised results of Beauty. You will gladly live in this day as forever. Then say:

"The light has come.
I have forgiven the world."

If anyone tempts you from your vision say:

"The light has come.
I have forgiven you."

Dedicate this day to the peacefulness of God as it replaces the profane world you thought was true.

Lesson 76

"I am under no laws but God's."

You have been caught in the web of laws purporting to be salvation. Many of these laws concern the material world and all the ideas we hold like the necessity of money, medicine, and human companionship to be safe, healthy, and sane. The only true laws are the laws of God and these laws are not mental ideas that hide the truth. Listen to the inner Voice that comes through you and receive the light of the message that always creates for you what you need and doesn't diminish you in any way. It is your belief in hell that gets in the way of the gift His Son brings you of continuous joy. Today we open the pathways to Him, understanding that there is only God's Will. Dedicate your practice period:

"I am under no laws but God's."

Say this as many times as necessary today, especially when confronted with false assumptions about your world that roam in your mind. Four or five times in an hour is particularly helpful as your assertion of change and freedom in our world, and your alignment with God as Father and the light of His Son.

Lesson 77

"I am entitled to miracles."

Miracles are your right because of who you are created to be and God's laws. Begin your practice today with assurance that trusting in miracles will bring them to you. In the quiet of your question ask for confirmation of your miracle and wait calmly for a response. The Holy Spirit cannot deny your request because it is your right.

Repeat to yourself throughout the day:

I am entitled to miracles.

Ask for them in any situation where you are in need of Divine Guidance. Because you are not seeking this question from within your own source you are worthy of this Divine Guidance and can expect to receive it. You are seeking the perfect miracle only. If you doubt you can receive such perfection say:

"I will not trade miracles for grievances.
I want only what belongs to me.
God has established miracles as my right."
