Lesson 190

"I choose the joy of God instead of pain."

There is no such thing as pain, when you really look at it. We deceive ourselves if we believe otherwise. It would mean that God is cruel and so is not real in any form. Pain is only illusion of which there is many, even in a place of truth. We should laugh at the crazy idea that God is anything but love.

The only thing that seems to cause you pain is your own thoughts. Nothing outside your own mind can hurt you at all. You are your only oppressor. If you recognize what you are, then you have the power to dominate your reality. Once you see everything as harmless instead of fearing it, then you can bend things to your holy will. Find solace and holiness in things you used to perceive as harmful.

The world is merely a product of your own thoughts and has no control over you. Change your mind and choose the joy of God as your truth. In this holy joy you are radiant and unchanged forever. If you realize that pain is evil from your thoughts taking form and that the world is an illusion, then you can be free. Pain is false and joy is the true reality, you can awake from the sleep of pain into joy.

Lesson 191

"I am the holy Son of God Himself."

If you deny that you are the holy Son of God then you cannot be free. You see the world as chaos and despair. When you can accept your true identity you are truly saved. You will not see the world as fearful, but as light and love. With this new realization you bring salvation to the world and the gift of forgiveness. When you remember that you are the holy Son of God Himself then you can begin to liberate your brothers and Heaven and earth are one. Let the Son of God wake up and open his holy eyes and return to bless the world still living in fear, death and pain.

Lesson 192

"I have a function God would have me fill."

You are called upon to fulfill your function of forgiveness. It is the closest thing on earth to what creation is. Since it is of Heaven it has no form and cannot be conceived of on earth. We can overcome the fear of death by forgiveness. Forgiveness shows us that the body is simply a teaching aid that we only need for a short time and then we can let it go when our learning is complete. The mind alone, without the body, cannot fall prey to things like making mistakes, belief in death, anger, or terror. God is asking you to accept the way to freedom now. Forgive the Son of God and show him mercy, His Father's love for him belongs to you, you are both as God created you. You will see that you are one with him when you forgive him his sins.

Lesson 193

"All things are lessons God would have me learn."

God's Will extends to what He does not understand even though he does not know of learning. He wills that the happiness that His son inherited of Him be undisturbed. That it is eternal and ever growing in the joy of full creation, open and limitless to Him. God does not perceive or see contradictions, but His Son believes that he does, so he needs Him to show him the error in that and give him vision that will lead him back on path, the path of ceasing to perceive. This is how God keeps His Son's sinlessness forever safe.

These are the lessons that He wishes you to learn, they reflect His Will and loving Kindness to His Son. The fundamental content of them is: forgive, and you will see this differently. The Holy Spirit tells you this during all your hard times, when you are in pain and suffering. They end your temptation, guilt, sin and rid your mind of fear. These are the words that bring salvation to the whole world.

Lesson 194

"I place the future in the Hands of God."

This idea will bring you very close to Heaven, any obstacles will be behind you. It will release you from all anxiety, depression, thoughts of doing wrong, and the pain of guilt. This is a gift you can give the world once it has saved you. Letting this moment and the next be in God's hands, leaves this time for you to release of suffering and death itself. There will be nothing to fear or worry about, nothing can cause you pain because you see salvation in all things and in sharing that with the world it can see that it is saved along with you.

Lesson 195

"Love is the way I walk in gratitude."

If you see the world as amiss, then gratitude can be a hard lesson. It is not good enough just to try to be contented because you are doing better than another. That is like being thankful because of suffering and a pitiful attempt at gratitude. Your gratitude should be only of God and how He made sorrow disappear all over the world.

Hatred is forgotten and we do not separate ourselves from others who are less fortunate. We realize that we are all one with God. Replace your thoughts of anger with gratitude and recognize that you have been given everything. Being grateful will shorten the path to God. Going hand in hand with love, gratitude is a small part of the Love that is the Source of all. Walk the road of gratitude and it will only bring you to love and then to God.

Lesson 196

"It can be but myself I crucify."

Do not attack a brother to save yourself, for in his safety is your own, and in his healing you are healed. When you realize this you will not harm yourself or hold yourself prisoner to vengeance. You will teach yourself to deny your ego and that you are not an ego. You will know that you are not a body. You cannot be crucified, see the light of resurrection and think not of death, but of liberation and life.

Once you realize that it is only you who crucifies you, then there is no one to fear. God is not the one punishing you, it is only yourself. You will free yourself, and break this bondage. When you do not fear God, the path is open to His holy peace. This is a kind and merciful lesson that you should welcome as a release. Your mind may try to crucify you, but redemption can also come from you as well.
