Lesson 162

"I am as God created me."

This thought, when held firmly in the mind, could save the world. The further you advance and reach another stage in your learning, the more it will mean to you. These sacred words are the answer God gave to you for the world you made. All vaporous illusions disappear and vanish as these words are spoken. In these words the Son becomes His father's happiness, His love, and His completion. These words are the trumpet of awakening that sounds around the world. He who makes these words of truth his own, recalling them throughout the day, will save the world because he gives the world what he receives by this practice. The words we use are mighty and by sharing them, His Love and gifts are kept complete and made unlimited. By salvaging your mind, your capacity to see Christ's vision has been restored. You are honored today as you now accept your right to perfect holiness. Salvation is brought to everyone as you accept this. Perfect joy is yours, available to all as a remedy for grief, misery, and all sense of loss or despair. These words dispel all darkness. The light comes today and blesses all the world with this recognition of the Son of God.

Lesson 163

"There is no death. The Son of God is free."

We often do not recognize the many forms in which the thought of death may appear. The thoughts of sadness, fear, anxiety, doubt, anger, faithlessness, lack of trust, bodily concerns, and envy are all reflections of the worshipping of death as a savior and a venue for release. All things but death are seen to be uncertain in their outcome. Would you bow down to idols like these? No compromise is possible while choosing between life and death. Either all things die or else they live and cannot die. To be sane we must choose an obvious position. The idea of the death of God implies that God was once alive and somehow perished by those who did not want Him to survive. How could their will be stronger and prevail over His? How could eternal life give way to death? There is no death when we renounce it in every form. Whatever form death may take there must be illusion. We take this stand today to look past death and to see the life beyond.

"Our Father, bless our eyes today. We are Your messengers, and we would look upon the glorious reflection of Your Love which shines in everything. We live and move in You alone. We are not separate from Your eternal life. There is no death, for death is not Your Will. And we abide where You have placed us, in the life we share with You and with all living things to be like You and a part of You forever. We accept Your Thoughts as ours, and our will is one with Yours eternally. Amen."

Lesson 164

"Now are we one with Him Who is our Source?

How holy is your practice today as Christ hears for you and has given you His sight? How quiet is the time that you give to Him, as you spend time with Him beyond this world. How easily are your illusions of sin forgiven and all your sorrows forgotten? There is a silence into which the world cannot intrude. There is an ancient peace in your heart that you continue to carry which has not been lost. There is a sense of holiness in you that the thought of sin has never touched. Faithfulness in your practice today will bring great rewards unlike those you sought before. Here is a place to rest and where your treasure is found. Today is when any vain imagination parts like a curtain and reveals what lies beyond. We now come into balance and the scale of judgment is left to Him. In His judgment the world unfolds in perfect innocence and you will now see it with the eyes if Christ. Its' transformation is clear to you.

What you see becomes the healing and salvation of the world. The valuable and valueless are perceived and recognized for their true meanings. Nothing to be feared remains and only what is worthy of your love may receive your love. All that we see today increases our joy because its holiness reflects our own. We and the world stand forgiven in Christ's sight. We bless the world as we behold it in the light which is the same light our Savior looks on us. Let go of all the things you think you want. Put away all those trifling treasures and leave a clean open space within your mind where Christ can come and offer you the treasure of salvation. Your most holy mind is needed to save the world. Is Christ's vision worthy to be sought above the world's unsatisfying goals? You can exchange all suffering for joy today.

Lesson 165

"Let not my mind deny the Thought of God."

Only your own thoughts of misery and death obscure the perfect happiness and the eternal life that your Father wills for you. Only illusions can hide that which cannot be concealed. The only thing that could keep you from what you already have is your choice not to see it and to deny it is there. It belongs to you and is your source of life. The thought of God created you and protects you. It cares for you and smoothes your way. The thought of God lights your mind with love, happiness and everlasting life. Heaven is yours when you ask to receive it and welcome it as it is yours. Christ's power is on your mind, to heal as you were healed. Abundance dwells in you, the Son of God, and you cannot be deprived from God's sustaining Love. Practice today with hope knowing your doubts are meaningless. God is certain. His sureness lies beyond any doubt. His Love remains beyond every fear. The Thought of God is beyond all dreams in our minds.

Lesson 166

"I am entrusted with the gifts of God."

When your will is one with God's will all things are given to you without exception. His trust in you is limitless and he holds back nothing that can contribute to your happiness. The gifts of God are not acceptable to those who believe this world is real with all its illusions. Claim the gifts of God as your own. The gifts for you are not just for you alone. What He has offered you, you must learn how to give. Now it is your turn to teach others by showing the happiness that comes to those who feel the touch of Christ. Do not let sorrow tempt you to be unfaithful to your trust. Your change of mind becomes the proof that who accepts God's gifts can never suffer again. You become the living proof that Christ's touch can offer transformation of the mind to those who accept His gifts. This is your mission now. God entrusts these gifts to all who have received them. He shares His joy with you and now you go share it with the world.

Lesson 167

"There is one life, and that I share with God.

Just as there is one truth, there is but one life. These do not come in degrees, and like all His Thoughts, they have no opposites. There is no death because an opposite of God does not exist and the Father and Son are one. The idea of death has many forms. Death is an idea that underlies all feelings that are not happy. A thought in the mind can be applied as the mind directs it. This course emphasizes the idea to change your mind about yourself. This is the reason you can heal. This is why you cannot die. It is the truth that establishes you as one with God. Death is the thought that you are separate from your creator. Forever unopposed by opposites, the Thoughts of God remain changeless. Sleeping is what seems to be the opposite of life. This is when the mind elects to be what it is not. Today we are the children of truth. Do not deny our holy heritage. We will not ask for death in any of its forms today. God has established the Thought of eternal life and we strive to keep this holy home as His Will forever. He created a unity of life that cannot separate in death or leave the Source of life. We share one life because we have one Source where perfection comes to us, remaining always in the holy minds that he perfectly created. A sleeping mind must awaken as it sees its own perfect reflection of the Lord of Life. It is light that makes this reflection possible. The awakened mind knows its Source, its Self, its Holiness.

Lesson 168

"Your grace is given me. I claim it now."

God speaks to us and is not distant. He makes no attempt to hide from us. Hiding from Him makes us only suffer from deception. He is entirely accessible. He loves His Son and will forever, even when his mind remains asleep. And when his mind awakens, His Love is never-changing. Hope and despair is impossible when you know the meaning of His Love. His gift of grace is yours by your acknowledgement. It restores all memories that the sleeping mind forgot and all certainty of the meaning of His Love. Grace allows you to see a light that covers all the world in love. Fear disappears from every face as hearts rise up and claim the light as their own. Forgiveness rests upon everything this new holy day for we have received what has been given to us. We acknowledge our mistakes and our faith lies in the Giver in gratitude and love.
