These next lessons make a point to strengthen your willingness to blend your scattered goals into one intention. Such a unified intention will bestow a sense of peace. Experiencing this will make sure you will give your total willingness to the way of the course. These lessons widen horizons and offer direct approaches to the blocks that keep your vision narrow and limited. The experience of peace and freedom that comes as you give up your tight control of what you see speaks for itself. Your motivation will be intensified, you will be sure of what you want and what is valueless. We now attempt to go past all defenses for a little time everyday.

Lesson 181

"I trust my brothers, who are one with me."

Trusting your brothers is essential to establishing and holding up your faith in your ability to transcend doubt and lack of sure conviction in yourself. When you attack a brother, you proclaim he is limited by what you have perceived in him. His errors are magnified rather than looking beyond them. They become blocks to your own Self-awareness that lies beyond your own mistakes. Perception has a focus and when you change it, your vision will shift accordingly. It will give support to the intent that has replaced the one you previously held. When you remove your focus on your brother's sins, you experience the peace that comes from faith in sinlessness.

One major block to your success is your involvement with your past and future goals. The goals in this course are extremely different from those you held before. Even if you succeed, you will lose your way again. The concerns of past and future are only defenses against the present change of focus in perception. We have lost our goal if anger in any form blocks our way. If a brother's sins occur to us, our narrow focus restricts our sight and turns our eyes upon our own mistakes. Should such blocks arise we will transcend them by saying:

"It is not this that I would look upon.
I trust my brothers, who are one with me."

We do not ask for fantasies. What we seek is really there. As our focus goes beyond mistakes, we will behold a wholly sinless world. When we see what we want to see, when we seek this in the name of true perception, the eyes of Christ are ours. His Love that He feels for us becomes our own. The world that once proclaimed our sins becomes the proof that we are sinless. Look straight into the present and give your trust to the experience we ask now. Our sinlessness is the Will of God.

Lesson 182

"I will be still an instant and go home."

Somewhere in your mind you know that this world you live in is not home to you. You feel alien in this world, you know there is a place that is truly your home. Others may deny their longing and try to cover their sadness by occupying themselves with games. Everyone on earth is searching, making many homes and not knowing what it is he is seeking, yet nothing can content his restlessness. But there is no way to make Heaven on earth. Some may think it is their childhood, but this is only imaginings of a past that never was. It is a Child within you that is seeking to go home to His Father's house. He is recognized by God as His Son within you. This Child is desperately crying to you to go home so He can rest a while. He comes to you for protection. You can shut him out and let His voice be obscured by the outside world. But you will protect Him and you will both go home.

If you let go of valueless ideas and let the world die away you will hear His voice, you will no longer resist and in that instant you will both go home. You yearn for innocence and you will find it in Heaven. Be still today and go Home with Him for a while.
