Amber
Description: Amber ranges in color from a pale yellow to orange or dark brown, and it can be opaque or transparent. Some of the darker clear types look like honey. It is composed of fossilized resin that formed millions of years ago from the sap of primeval trees. Often contained within it are mummified insects or plant matter, adding to its connection to early life on this planet.
Location: It comes from the Russian regions of the world, having been known and used by civilizations around the world, and was especially favored by the peoples of the Baltic coast.
