Description: Chrysocolla crystallizes in the form of masses, layers, crusts, botryoidal configurations, and microscopic needle-like crystals. Its colors range from shades of blue or green to occasionally blue or black. Chrysocolla is sometimes found in a gemmy state, which is known as gem silica. It resembles Turquoise and shares some of the same properties.

Location: Chrysocolla is mined in Mexico, Zaire, Chile, Russia, and the United States.
