Fluorite
Description: Fluorite crystallizes in the form of masses, grains, columns, cubes, octahedral, and rhombdodecahedra crystals. The crystals are usually translucent and come in shades of white, blue, brown, yellow, purple, red, or are colorless.
Location: Fluorite comes from many sources around the globe. Worldwide sources include Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Norway, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland. In the United States, the states in the Mississippi valley, especially Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio, have historically contained the largest deposits but Colorado also has deposits of Fluorite.
