Gold

Description: Gold crystallizes in massive forms, flakes, grains, dendritic forms, plates, nuggets, and sometimes, in octahedral, cubic, and rhombdodecahedral crystals. It is rare to see Gold within a quartz crystal, but it is a very beautiful combination. The color ranges from shades of golden yellow, silver-white, and orange-red.

Location: Gold is found in Australia, South Africa, Mexico, Honduras, United States, and Canada

Astrological Sign: Leo, also Aquarius, Aries, Scorpio, and Capricorn

Spiritual Uses: Gold, because of its amazing conductive ability, is well suited to healing. It is a regenerator, and can help one to feel renewed. It has the ability to balance extreme situations on the physical, mental, or spiritual planes. It also can clear negativity from the chakras and the energy fields of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual bodies, while transferring the vitality of any companion mineral to the affected area. When in proximity to another mineral, Gold provides a stabilizing influence to the energies of that mineral. Gold is symbolic of the purity of the spiritual aspect of “All That Is,” called by some, “Great Mystery.” This purity (of Gold) is said to help one to preserve higher thought forms for later retrieval. It also is symbolic of spirituality and the development of holistic understanding, allowing one to both attain and sustain communion with the source of all being. Gold assists one in activating, mobilizing, and actualizing the intrinsic potential of the self, helping one also to improve one’s character through learning. It lessens the trauma associated with the situations experienced during the gaining of knowledge. Gold has been used in the opening of the heart chakra and helps in the development, purification, and balancing of this chakra. It can also be used to open and activate the third-eye and crown chakras. The energy emitted by Gold can be useful in balancing the energy fields and assisting one in the elimination of ego conflicts and feelings of futility. Use Gold to calm excitation and states of anger and to help yourself feel balanced in the overburden of responsibility. To combat feelings of depression and inferiority and to allow oneself to understand and to dispense with self-reproach, Gold can be useful. It can help you if you are feeling timid or defeated, by boosting confidence and helping to amplify the qualities that make you an important and valuable person. Gold strengthens the appreciation of positive qualities in others.

Physical Uses: Gold helps digestion, aiding the body in the proper assimilation of food. It also is beneficial to the circulatory system and blood because of its ability to detoxify the blood. Gold can be very helpful to individuals with degenerative diseases, such as heart disease or arthritis. This is because of its ability to help rid the body of blockages. Chemical and hormonal imbalances are better controlled since all glands that determine the levels of these substances will work with greater efficiency with Gold’s energy. Gold has been called “the master healer,” for its purification of the physical body. It has been used, also, to enhance mental faculties, to rebuild the nervous system (in the treatment of multiple sclerosis), to increase warmth, and to improve circulation, breathing, and digestion. It has a rejuvenating effect on the endocrine system and in the absorption of vitamins and minerals. The skeletal structure and tissue regeneration are benefited by the use of Gold. It can be used to treat conditions associated with autism, dyslexia, epilepsy, and physical coordination and can be used to balance the right brain/left brain. This balancing of the right brain/left brain happens because with Gold, the production of neurotransmitters is stepped up, all functions of the brain thereby get balanced and improved. Gold is the greatest conductor of its kind when in its purest state. Gold has also been used for the treatment of arthritis, blood disorders, vascular disease, pneumonia, skin cancer (and disorders), heart disease, eye problems, paralysis, rheumatism, tuberculosis, nightmares, and spinal problems. Gold has been said to attract wealth, honors, and happiness, and to provide composure, to alleviate tension and stress, to stabilize the emotional system, and to amplify positive feelings. It also assists one in attuning to the healing forces of nature. Gold is the only metal virtually impervious to the elements, it never tarnishes, and as the softest metal, it is usually alloyed to give it strength. No other metal can achieve such astonishing flexibility in both pure and alloyed states.

History: Gold is used by many cultures as a status symbol and symbol of wealth (especially in many African tribes, as décor for the chief and other nobles.)

Different Types: Gold is used not only for healing purposes, as described above, but also in modern medical science (for numerous reconstructive purposes and for diseases like arthritis) and industrial purposes (because of its ability to conduct energy and transmit information without distortion.)
