Kyanite
Description: Kyanite crystallizes in the form of twisted fibrous structures, masses, and long-bladed crystals that are either found twisted or straight. The color range is gray, black, and blue with white, green, yellow, and pink.
Location: Kyanite can be found in abundance in the United States, specifically in Virginia and North Carolina. It can also be found in Zimbabwe, Africa and in Brazil. Blue Kyanite is found in a wide range of locations including: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Czech.Rep., Congo, France, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, USA.

Spiritual Uses: Kyanite is one of the few minerals in the mineral kingdom that never needs to be cleaned or cleared. It will not accumulate or retain negative energy or vibrations and the energy of Kyanite has unlimited applications. It is one of the very best stones for attunement. It aligns all chakras automatically and immediately, with no conscious direction. If directed with the consciousness of the user, it can also open the chakras. The emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual, and ethereal bodies can also be aligned through conscious direction of the energy. With a particular focus on the throat chakra and the third eye, Kyanite brings tranquility and a calming effect to the whole being. It stimulates psychic awareness and communication on all levels, dispelling anger and frustration and helping to facilitate clarity of mental awareness and reasoning. Kyanite further advances the conscious connection between the higher levels of intuition and heart-felt love, producing compassion in both communication and decision-making. It also assists in dispelling confusion arising from emotional, spiritual, and intellectual issues. The stone lends its user perseverance in activities and situations which would, generally, reduce one’s strength, providing a stimulating energy and supporting one in the continuation of projects.
Physical Uses: In setting the stage for meditation, Kyanite is a great helper. If there is ever a problem with respect to “getting into” a meditative state, Kyanite lends its calming, clearing effect that can be useful because the energy is accessible, balanced, and gentle. When connecting with one’s guides and when accessing the astral plane, this stone is also quite useful. It helps to induce dream recall and to promote dream-solving, providing for access to solutions during the dream state. It can be used in the treatment of disorders of the muscular and urogenital system, adrenal glands, throat, parathyroid glands, and brain. It is a beneficial stone to place between the heart and navel chakras during the healing activities associated with the “laying-on-of-hands.” Kyanite also provides for balancing of the yin-yang energies, and brings an orderly growth to the intellect, emotions, and physical body. It dispels energy blockages also, moving energy from the ethereal plane through the physical body in a gentle way.
Different Types: Black Kyanite provides for grounding during the alignment of the chakras. When the Blue Kyanite is used in conjunction with the Black Kyanite, the alignment and the grounding are both spontaneous and self-operating. Kyanite also occurs in combination with Ruby.
