Kundalini & Orgasm

(This is an excerpt from a University Of Metaphysical Sciences course at www.umsonline.org, please feel free to visit the school website)

Tantra uses techniques of breathing, visualization and dance. Kundalini works for the goal of an awareness of your energy body which leads to creating sensuality. It is important to relax before engaging and letting go of physical and psychological tension in order to allow sexual energy to flow fully through your energy system and body. Louris outlines the stages for creating tantric energy. First, relax and let go of stress and tension, and come home to yourself. Then connect and be in the present moment and connect with your lover in the present moment. Next, build up an energetic charge through body movement, breathing or visualization.

Kundalini is a current of continuous energy descending and ascending in two wavelike patterns along the spinal column. (See the Chakras & Auras course for more information.) Its main function is to transform subtle energies. Sexual energy isn’t just about sex it’s about aliveness. We don’t know half of what we can experience, if we only just allowed ourselves. Kundalini yoga seeks through posture, breathing, and meditation, to raise the body energy through the psychic centers of the spinal column into the brain.

Kenneth Stubbs says, “An orgasm is an event where two or more vibratory patterns change so that they resonate with each other, and a new vibratory pattern occurs which consists of the initial vibratory patterns plus the vibratory pattern of primordial incarnated energy... The basic idea of orgasm manifesting, or what some call sex magic, is that at the moment of orgasm the individual intends a desired goal to become manifest. The resulting energy of the orgasm is what fuels whatever is needed to accomplish the intent… When we embrace the role of orgasm in the transformation of energy, in the transformation of emotions, and in the transformation of energy, and in the transformation of our capacity to function via nonphysical intent, we will no longer be restricted to a paradigm where what we call sexuality and what we call spirituality are in opposition. Rather we will find the interaction between our sexual and our spiritual desires to be a basic, natural dynamic in our existence.”

There are four types of orgasm. Sexual orgasm is a physical stimulation, contractions of the pelvic floor. Light body orgasm, or total body orgasm, is felt as an explosion in the heart chakra in the chest area. Spirit body orgasm happens in the head area of the spirit body. It is felt as relaxing into waves of pleasure as an energetic tranquil feeling. Soul orgasm is experience in the naval or every part of the being. This is a mystical experience of being tuned our energetic patterns, the same as god’s energetic patterns. Orgasm is at the center of the sacred circle. Dancing in this center, we can come to know God and all other creations more deeply, more profoundly than by any other path. Lorius says, “In Orgasm you can glimpse eternity, letting go into something far bigger and more spacious than our orgasmic gratification…you also discover the relationship you seek outside is already within you.”
