Honoring Your Partner: Namaste
(This is an excerpt from a University Of Metaphysical Sciences course at www.umsonline.org, please feel free to visit the school website)
1. Start each ritual with Namaste, the Hindu form of greeting. Namaste means: “I honor you as an aspect of myself, or I honor you as an aspect of God.”
2. Stand 2 to 3 feet apart facing your partner, so you can bow to each other comfortably. Focus on your breathing for a few moments. Gaze into your partner's eyes. To help keep your eyes focused when you are close to each other, gaze into the right or left eye.
3. As you breath, imagine drawing the energy into your heart, bring your palms together in front of your heart, in a gesture of prayer.
4. As you breathe out, bring your foreheads together, shifting the focus of your gaze to the center of your partner’s eyebrow. Focus your awareness on meeting your third eye chakra.
5. As you breathe in, draw your awareness back to your heart center.
