UMS is offering new, extra support for those who complete their Masters Degree and Ministerial Ordination. When you become an ordained minister online or by mail with University of Metaphysical Sciences, we will send you a new course titled “Minister & Reverend Handbook”!
This course does not contain an exam, instead it offers valuable information on the ethics of the ministry and how to be of best service in your chosen spiritual path. This important course will be provided after completion of your Masters thesis. It will be available to all students.
Those who have previously completed their Masters degree will be receiving it as well, without charge.
Blessings to all,
University of Metaphysical Sciences

Today we had a visitor in the office. An elderly woman sort of wandered in and started talking to us. She even petted the head of one of our staff members! He does have very nice fuzzy short hair.
She seemed to be a bit confused about where she was, so Kelly gallantly offered to walk her back to her family. Everyone wished her a beautiful day, she did the same for us, and her family was happy to have her back. She said she might come by again, which is fine with me! She also invited us to her house for cookies.
What a strange and sweet sort of “random” encounter!
Signing off…
Sarah

Let me introduce myself. My name is Sarah; I’m one of the folks who will be posting regularly. I’m 28, I love to paint and I’m a voracious reader. Right now I’m reading Having Faith: An Ecologist’s Journey to Motherhood by Sandra Steingraber. It’s one of those books that is very beautiful in parts and very scary in others. The beautiful parts are of course the mommy parts (I’m not a parent myself but I do think kids are precious)… but it has a serious side as well. Sandra Steingraber is an ecologist and very concerned with environmental pollution, all the more so since becoming pregnant. There are some terrifying facts, such as the information on dioxins present in breast milk! It’s really made me think deeply about not only my own diet, but the way I personally, and we as a society, contaminate the environment.
It also makes me very thankful that I live in Arcata, a town small enough to walk or ride a bike most places I would need to go… and with so many great organic grocery stores too. I only wish that all people had access to such healthful and beautiful things.
Well I think I have rambled quite enough. I’ll be posting often and other folks here will post too and introduce themselves so you can get to know us. Feel free to comment too so we can know our students and friends!

Hi all!
We’re all very happy to have this blog, and share with you all the news from “the office” here at University of Metaphysical Sciences. We will write about spiritual and metaphysical topics, and we’ll also share the latest news about us and our school as well as just fun stories from around the office. Also look for inspirational quotes and posts from Christine Breese once in a while, and information about retreats and other events.
We have other pages as well where you can add us and network with the school and keep up to date on news about our church services and Christine Breese’s meditation retreats. Click the links in our blog to see our other profiles and sites around the web.
Our goal with this particular blog is to communicate on a more personal level with students and friends, and share a more playful, insiders’ view of UMS and what our school is really like. Blessings to all of you, from all of us!
